I made it for Thanksgiving and it did well in a crowded dessert field. The texture was not crumbly, it was just perfect actually, like a moist gingerbread. I used a delicious local honey and that flavor balanced the warm dark acorn taste perfectly. Thank you for a terrific recipe. I loved preparing the acorns too and now I have a nice stash of acorn flour so I’ll try the pasta next.
