Hey Tricia, you can use dried favas instead. Actually Laurie’s idea of using edamame (fresh soy beans) was a better substitute, but it’s too late to switch now.

Ah man, we won’t have fresh favas until July [plus I was out of commission this weekend with a kid birthday and assorted festivities] – maybe next month! But I bet you get lots of tasty entries for this combo.

For what it’s worth, I think fresh edamame’s are a better substitute for fresh fava than are dried fava…

I love favas ever so much! I really should participate in Paper Chef – I won #25, but then Owen’s long break made me sad. So glad it’s back in action (and grats on your win!).
