Need a Good Fishing Guide?
Apr 5th, 2008 | By Hank Shaw | Category: Fish | Comments | 7 Comments |
I am happy to announce that I’ve become a fishing guide, in a way:Â I am the new proprietor of About.com’s Fish & Seafood Cooking website. This is why there’s been a dearth of fish recipes here for the past month or so; I was building my new site and have shifted all my fishy energies over there.
This new site’s intention is to provide all of you with information you might need on techniques in the kitchen, recipes, ways to properly handle the fish you bring home from a day on the water or from the market, as well as what you need to know — culinarily speaking — about various kinds of fish and shellfish.
So has the “angler” in Hunter Angler Gardener Cook migrated? Not entirely. I will link to all my original recipes here, so you will have two ways to find them, and I will continue to write about catching fish here — About.com has other guys covering the catching part; my job begins where theirs end.
Once you take a look at the site, let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions: I do take requests. Thanks again, and fish on!

Good on ya! Now, wouldn’t the whole fishing experience be that much better with a Partagas Series D?
Geez – you’ve turned into one hardcore food blogging machine!!!
This one was a Fonseca my friend gave me. I don’t know a whole lot about fine cigars, but even I could probably appreciate that Cuban you suggested!
Hey, just found you over at Peter’s joint. Great blog. I’m sidebarring your ass!
Congrats again my friend! Awesome pic of you with the cigar. V. sexy.
GARRETT!!! Ahem! You owe me baklava for that remark. Lots and LOTS of baklava.
Fat chance getting any baklava out of Garrett. He can eat a whole tray all by himself.
